Are you tired of relying on over-the-counter supplements to manage chronic inflammation? Plus, they don't work? Look no further than turmeric, a natural anti-inflammatory powerhouse that has been used for centuries to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation. Doctors will also share the benefits of turmeric, as plenty of studies show its powerful health effects. Plus, it is excellent for the skin for a wonderful glow-up.
In this post, we'll explore the incredible benefits of turmeric, what makes my recipe special by adding ginger and cinnamon, and how to make your own Turmeric Golden Paste at home! Yup!
The Benefits of Turmeric for Inflammation Relief
Turmeric contains a powerful compound called curcumin, which has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Curcumin has been shown to:
- Improve cognitive function and memory
- Support digestive health
- Boost mood and reduce stress
In a study with the National Institute of Health, research showed the anti-inflammatory impact to reduce DsDNA, proteinuria and renal inflammation with curcumin (turmeric) supplementation on SLE lupus and lupus nephritis.
What Makes My Turmeric Golden Paste Recipe Special?
My recipe stands out from the rest with the addition of two powerful spices: ginger and cinnamon. These ingredients not only enhance the flavor but also amplify the benefits of turmeric.
- Ginger: Ginger has natural anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols and shogaols, which have been shown to reduce pain and inflammation. Ginger also aids digestion and reduces nausea.
- Cinnamon: Ceylon cinnamon has potent anti-inflammatory properties and has been shown to reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity.
Oh, and did we talk about the wonderful addition of flax seed oil? This is an extra bonus! Research also shows the powerful effects of these omega-3s to reduce inflammation, balance hormones, and support a healthy heart!
The Simple Recipe for Homemade Turmeric Golden Paste
Making your own Turmeric Golden Paste is easy! Here's what you need:
- 1/2 cup turmeric powder
- 1/3 cup flax seed oil (as turmeric is fat-soluble!)
- 1 tablespoon ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon Ceylon cinnamon powder
- 2 teaspoons grounded black pepper (to increase curcumin by 2000%!)
- 1 cup water
Simply combine the ingredients in a pot, simmer until a paste forms, and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy in smoothies, lattes, or with a scoop of raw / manuka honey! Note: Start with 1-2 tsp. of the Golden Turmeric Paste at first. Too much too soon can cause digestive upset, like diarrhea!
Note: I get a small commission from my Amazon storefront if you purchase any of the ingredients above. Thank you!
My Turmeric Golden Paste recipe with ginger, cinnamon and flaxseed oil is a natural, effective, and easy-to-make remedy for inflammation relief. By incorporating this powerful paste into your daily routine, you can say goodbye to chronic pain and inflammation and hello to a healthier, happier you.
